Poly leaders consist of a thin tapered monofilament core with a flexible polymer coating on the outside. This is why they are more durable and turn over better than normal leaders. The loop in the leader eases the change of leaders to either floating, intermediate or sinking. Trout poly leaders come in 6ft to 8ft lengths.
